Booking Policy Queenstown Fishing requires a minimum of 30% deposit (non refundable) to confirm all forward bookings, with balance due 30 days before date of charter.
If your booking is within the 30 day cancellation period prior to charter/fishing experience date then we require full payment to confirm your booking. (unless you have a signed agent contract, then all payments are due 7 days after date of invoice).
If full payment is not received before the 30 days then your booking will be cancelled.
Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy All deposits are non-refundable, unless the charter/fishing experience is cancelled by the captain/guide due to bad weather or circumstances beyond their control. This cancellation is made prior to the charter commencing on the day only at the captain’s/guide’s discretion. All other cancellations forfeit the 30% deposit. No other refunds will be offered within 30 days of date of charter. NO REFUND for no shows or missed departures.
Queenstown Fishing recommends you take out travel insurance to take care of any unforeseen travel disruptions/cancellations.
In the event that you need to reschedule inside of the 30 day cancellation period because of such events, you will need to re-book your fishing experience/charter at the full advertised rate.
If you suddenly become sick or unwell and are unable to attend we will require a doctors certificate to offer a trip credit voucher or a partial refund (this must be requested 24 hours before charter/experience start time), if you request a refund due to sickness there will be a $100 admin fee charged plus we will retain 30% deposit of the total charter/experience cost. Refunds due to sickness will not include credit card or booking fees.
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy If your charter/fishing experience departure is cancelled due to New Zealand government COVID-19 travel restrictions, Queenstown Fishing will transfer your payment to a future tour date of your choosing (subject to availability) This credit will be valid for 24 months. If your charter is not affected by Covid-19 restrictions our standard cancellation conditions apply.
Child Policy Pricing for children 6 to 12 years is half price, all children 10 years and under must wear a life jacket at all times.
Use of Images Queenstown Fishing reserves the right to use photos and or videos taken during charter/fishing experiences for promotional use online and for print media.
Damage or loss of fishing equipment The customer is liable to pay costs as determined by Queenstown Fishing for any accidental or deliberate damage, this includes loss caused by you to any of our equipment. Please note for some fishing experiences equipment hire is available, this charge covers wear and tear on equipment not breakages or any damage.
Legalities Both the operator and any agent (including their respective employees, agents, officers and directors) exclude, to the fullest extent possible under law, all and any liability for any loss, damage or injury (whether direct or indirect or co nsequential, however arising) suffered by the guest or any person associated with the guest in relation to the booked activity. All activities have elements of risk and all guests undertaking any activity do so voluntarily and at their own risk. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, all warranties, representations and implied terms are also excluded. The operator reserves all rights to cancel any activity at its discretion for (but not limited to) any of the following reasons: a) waterway, road or weather conditions; b) lack of numbers participating in the activity; c) unsuitability of Guest(s) due to reasons such as age, ill health, poor fitness, intoxication or any other reasons rendering a Guest unsuitable or unfit to participate in the activity; d) any other circumstances which are beyond the reasonable control of the operator. All guests agree to adhere to any instructions in relation to the activity from the operator at all time.
These terms are subject to rights and remedies you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 2003.
