Booking Policy
• A minimum deposit of 30% is required to confirm all bookings.
• The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the date of your charter or fishing experience.
• For bookings made within 30 days of the charter date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
• If you have a signed agent contract, payment is due 7 days from the date of invoice.
• Failure to make full payment by the due date will result in cancellation of your booking.
• A valid booking voucher is required to confirm your reservation. If you do not have a voucher, you do not have a
confirmed booking.
BOOKING ACCURACY & DATE RESPONSIBILITY
• It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all booking details, including date and time, are correct at the time of booking.
• If an incorrect date is selected, the customer must notify Queenstown Fishing within 24 hours of receiving the booking confirmation to be eligible for a reschedule without penalty.
• After this 24-hour period, all bookings are considered final. Any requested changes due to incorrect date selection will be treated as a cancellation, and no refund will apply.
• A new booking will be required at full cost for any rescheduled trip, subject to availability.
Agent Bookings
• A valid booking voucher must be supplied for all agent bookings.
• Rates apply as per the version provided at the time of booking confirmation.
• Confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate at the time of booking.
Voucher Validity & Seasonal Rates
• All vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issue, in accordance with New Zealand consumer law.
• Vouchers must be redeemed within this period.
• Vouchers hold a monetary value only and do not guarantee specific pricing beyond the season in which they were
issued.
• If a booking is made or rescheduled into a new season, current season rates will apply.
• Any price difference must be paid prior to confirmation of the new booking.
• Gift vouchers are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another person.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
• All deposits are non-refundable, except when the charter is cancelled due to weather conditions or circumstances
beyond our control.
• Cancellations made by guests will result in the forfeiture of the 30% deposit.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 30 days, no-shows, or missed departures.
• Cancellations will be assessed at the sole discretion of the captain/guide on the day of the charter.
Minimum Numbers (Shared Charters)
• Shared charters require minimum passenger numbers to operate.
• If minimum numbers are not met, guests will be offered:
• alternative departure time
• private charter upgrade
• or full refund
Illness or Medical Cancellation
• A doctor’s certificate must be provided at least 24 hours prior to departure.
• A trip credit or partial refund may be offered at our discretion, subject to:
• $100 administration fee
• 30% deposit retained
• any card or booking fees being non-refundable
We strongly recommend all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance. If rescheduling within 30 days, the full
advertised rate will apply.
Terms of Service
• All payments are due within 7 days of invoice unless otherwise stated.
• Please include your booking reference or invoice number as the payment reference.
• A 3% credit card processing fee applies to online payments.
Child Policy
• Children aged 6–12 years are charged at child rate on lake charters only.
• River and backcountry experiences are charged at the standard adult rate.
• Children aged 10 years and under must wear a life jacket at all times.
Use of Images
• Queenstown Fishing reserves the right to use any photos or videos taken during charters for promotional purposes.
Liability & Risk
• Participation is at the guest’s own risk.
• Queenstown Fishing accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury incurred.
• Activities involve inherent risks, and participation is voluntary.
• We reserve the right to cancel or alter any activity due to:
• weather or water conditions
• insufficient numbers
• safety concerns
• events beyond our control
• Guests must follow all safety instructions provided by staff.
Force Majeure
• Queenstown Fishing shall not be liable for failure or delay due to events beyond our control.
• These may include:
• severe weather or water conditions
• natural disasters
• government restrictions
• transport disruptions
• mechanical failure
• or other unforeseen circumstances
• Where possible, guests will be offered an alternative date or solution.
Fuel Surcharge
• Queenstown Fishing reserves the right to apply a fuel surcharge per person due to fluctuating fuel costs.
• Any surcharge will be advised at the time of booking and removed once fuel prices stabilise.
