The Expedition Fishing Series brings together Queenstown Fishing’s most adventurous and distinctive private experiences. These are journeys that reach beyond a usual day on the water, combining exceptional fishing, remote landscapes and remarkable travel into an experience that becomes part of the story.
From helicopter-accessed alpine water and remote backcountry rivers to a two-day alpine-to-ocean challenge, every expedition is designed to take you further into places few visitors ever reach, with the freedom to fish, explore and travel at a different pace.
Created for anglers, families, private groups and anyone looking for something genuinely different, every Expedition experience is carefully hosted and shaped around the people, the season and the conditions.
heliFISH
Fly beyond the road and into remote alpine and backcountry rivers. A private helicopter-accessed fishing experience built around spectacular country, carefully selected river water and a day few people ever get to experience.
Duration: 9 Hours (approx.)
The Big 6
Alpine to ocean, one ultimate challenge. Target three freshwater and three saltwater species across lakes, rivers and the West Coast over one or two carefully planned days, with helicopter or fixed-wing transfer through the Southern Alps.

Back Roads
Go further and stay longer. Back Roads is a private multi-day fly-fishing journey following remote waterways, quiet valleys and the lesser-travelled routes of the South Island.
