Step into our purpose-built ClackaCraft drift boat and escape the crowds on a guided fishing journey across remote alpine lakes. Designed for anglers with previous fishing experience, this full-day adventure explores hard-to-reach water holding wild brown trout.
Drift silently along untouched shorelines with an experienced guide who knows these waters intimately. Cast from the boat or step onto isolated beaches to fly fish or softbait amid panoramic mountain scenery. This is alpine-lake fishing at its best – remote, peaceful and unforgettable.

Pick Up / Opening
- Pickup from Queenstown or Glenorchy at 8:00 am. Where practical, meeting your guide at the fishing location can increase your time on the water. Please discuss this when booking.
Drop Off / Return
- Return to Queenstown or Glenorchy at approximately 5:00 pm
- Return time may vary depending on the fishing location and conditions on the day
Inclusions
- Guided drift-boat fishing on a selected alpine lake
- All required safety equipment
- Morning tea, refreshments and a cut lunch
- Safety briefing and fishing tuition
- Fish may be kept where regulations allow; catch and release is encouraged
Exclusions
- Fishing licences can be purchased online at – fishandgame.org.nz/licences/
- A fishing licence can also be arranged through your guide on the day
- Full fishing gear hire, including waders, boots, rod and reel, is available when booking – $95 per person, per day
- Alcohol – you are welcome to bring your own. Please drink responsibly; no spirits
Family & Child Policy
- Young anglers with suitable fishing experience are welcome. Standard adult pricing applies.
